Scope and Contents The collection consists of the correspondence, writings, diplomas, certificates, programs, sympathy notes, clippings, and photographs of Dr. Charles Cassedy Bass (1875-1975). Bass was a professor at Tulane Medical School and later dean (1922-1940). He did research on and promoted the "Bass technique" of preventative dental health care, and there are writings on this topic in the collection.
