Scope and Contents 2 sheets. First sheet is plan of plantation belonging to Francous Merieult near Opelousas, La. in St. Landry Parish from circa 1811. Ink and watercolor on paper. Created by the creole architect Barthelemy Lafon. The second sheet is a description of the property and mortage disclaimer. Signed by Lafon on 1811 December 15, a notary on 1812 January 20, and signed by territorial governor William C.C. Claiborne on 1812 March 28.
