David B. Morgan papers
The collection consists of correspondence and military orders of David Banister Morgan (1773-1848), as well as financial and slave records. Morgan was a commander of troops on the west bank of the Mississippi River under Andrew Jackson between 1814 and 1815 during the Battle of New Orleans.

Louis Charles de Blanc St. Denis papers
The collection consists of commissions, appointments, letters, and an order relating to the military career of Louis Charles de Blanc St. Denis, an officer in the Louisiana Militia who served as commandant of both the Natchitoches and Attakapas (St. Martinsville) posts. There are documents signed by Charles III and Charles IV of Spain as well as other signed by Baron de Carondelet, governor of Louisiana (1791-1797).
