Arnous and Lessassier families papers
This collection consists of correspondence, family documents, land titles, financial records and tax receipts pertaining to the Arnous and Lessassier families, and to allied families, including the Magees, the Fleuriets and the Thibodeaux. Most of the materials concern the business and personal activities of René Arnous, a native of France who was a merchant in New Orleans and Iberville Parish.

Gustavus Schmidt Family Papers
The Schmidt family papers consist of correspondence, legal papers, ledgers, lettersbooks, journals, photographs, and diaries of Gustavus Schmidt and his son Charles Schmidt, prominent New Orleans lawyers. The correspondence and papers involve family matters as well as give an account of their law practices and cases, particularly the claims and successions of French citizens whose land was confiscated during the Civil War.

This collection consists of land transactions, land surveys, receipts, tax receipts, correspondence, legal documents, financial papers, land titles, maps, medical treatments, and photographs. The collection primarily concerns the land transactions and legal matters of the Collins, Littell, and Cadish families near Opelousas, Louisiana. Irving Novick was the notary public involved in the adoption papers of William T. Cadish as well as Rosalie Jean Marie's sale of land to Cadish.

This collection consists of the daily ledger of transactions of an unidentified notary in New Orleans, La. Entries in varied handwriting describe the type of task performed, the date, the cost charged, and payment received. Documents upon which notarial services were recorded include leases, inventories, acts of sale, mortgages, depositions, deeds, death notices, and financial transactions. The volume itself was produced in New Orleans as a blank book.

In addition, there are some title abstracts for land in St. Bernard Parish, St. Mary Parish, St. Tammany Parish, Plaquemines Parish, and Acadia Parish.
