Broadside, printed on both sides, describing the geography and the agricultural, economic and climatic conditions in the parishes of St. Landry, Lafayette, Vermillion, St. Martin, Iberia, and St. Mary, written by Daniel Dennett. Also included is a copy of Hardee's 1870's map of the Attakapas region and St. Landry Parish.
St. Omar and St. Amant families genealogy collection
The collection consists of genealogical materials about the St. Omar and St. Amant families, which lived in France and Spain before settling in Louisiana. Most of the documents in the collection are photocopies and relate to the two families, other familial connections, and their influence on Louisiana history, especially New Orleans. Materials include lists of barons, articles, coats of arms, nobility records, lists of names, a baptism certificate, a will, correspondence, and maps.
