Louis Panzeri papers

The collection consists of research notes Louis Panzeri (1902-1983) used for his book, Louisiana Composers; programs and brochures; music associations material; and early letters on musical subjects. Panzeri, a music teacher and voice coach in New Orleans, collected Louis Moreau Gottschalk correspondence, mementoes, and newspaper clippings, which are also included. There are obituaries of other musicians as well as a photograph of the choir at St. Patrick's Church, New Orleans.

The collection consists of bills of sale, slave records, poems, correspondence, personal papers, and receipts in two scrapbooks.
