Scope and Contents The materials in this collection date from 1990-1997.The bound books include 2 volumes of de Latour’s personal correspondence, a journal of the St Thomas More Young at Heart church newsletter she wrote between 1990-1994, two volumes entitled My Smiley Journal that represents a collection of poems she submitted to Smiley Anders who was a columnist for The Advocate, a 1994 bound volume entitled “An Odyssey of Army Wivery”, and copies of poetry manuscripts entitled “Where Angels Pause to Pray”...

Scope and Contents

The collection consists of the correspondence, articles, poems, and notes of Jeanne des Dunes Guérin Bengston (1909-1992). The majority of her work found in this collection was written for the Christian Science Publishing Society and the United Methodist Publishers. Also included are a biography of Bengston, as well as newspaper clippings, notes for a play, a manuscript copy of Flowers of the Mind, and index cards.

The collection consists primarily of poetry volumes by Reverend Joseph Forster Hogben, an Episcopal priest who worked among the Native Americans and was also an Army chaplain. He won many distinguished awards for his poetry. There are also holy cards as well as book marks in the collection.
