1859-1867. Documents in English regarding the efforts of Commander Bedford Pim to advance the interests of Great Britain through the construction of a proposed railway from the Atlantic to the Pacific coast of Nicaragua. Included are: deeds to lands and islands issued by George Augustus Frederick, King of Mosquito, to Pim and to William Cope Devereux, a map, the transfer of the islands to Pim, and a pamphlet by S.P. Oliver, "Description of Two Routes through Nicaragua." 6 pieces.
