Identifier: Ephemera-01-Collection 153-Mexico

Scope and Contents

1890s-2010s. Print ephemera materials in black and white and color relating to travel and tourism in Mexico documented in the last decade of the 19th century and throughout the 20th and early 21st centuries. Formats include folded informational and promotional brochures, guides and maps, posters, souvenir postcards, and advertising flyers. Many of the pieces were produced by government departments and ministeries, though many come directly from the government railroad lines, shipping companies, hotels and tourist agencies, restaurants, and other outlets vying for the tourist dollar, particular those from the United States.
