Scope and Contents

Peruvian art ephemera is a growing collection of print ephemera pieces collected from 2007-2014 that relate to fine art exhibitions, annual events and festivals, and gallery showings. These materials are ephemeral pieces produced in limited quantities for specific, short-term events to promote Peruvian artists and their work. Formats range from exhibit brochures and catalogs, to announcements, flyers, guides, invitations, and postcards. Lima is the geographic focus of the collection and most of the pieces relate to contemporary art and artists. Their mediums include paintings, drawings, mixed media, audio-visual, sculpture, textiles, and photography. The institutions featured in the collection include Museo Pedro de Osma, Museo de Arte Contemporaneo, Enlace – Arte Contemporaneo, Lucia de la Puente Galeria de Arte, Centro Cultural Juan Parra Del Riego, WU Galeria, Biblioteca Nacional Peru, and Municipalidad Metropolitana de Lima.
