Miniature Portraits of Female Beauties Photograph Collection

Scope and Contents c. 1910s - 1920s.  54 gelatin silver miniature photographic portraits of female actresses many of which were originally tobacco trade cards. Many contain the name of the actress, a DE photographer trademark, and an image number printed on the card.

Quirigua, Guatemala Photograph Collection

Scope and Contents c.1910.  13 gelatin silver prints (most measure 5" x 7") of the clearing of the monuments at the arquaeological site of Quirigua, Guatemala. The captions on the verso sides of the prints come from the pages of a photograph album from which these pieces were taken. The images show the work crew, stelae in various positions, altars, a view of Guatemala City, and three views are of the Copán site in Honduras.  These photographs appear to have been taken during the 1910 field season of the School...

Scope and Contents c. 1904-1915.  15 black and white photographs of varying sizes taken by Walker and Anna Rebecca McBath mostly in and around Quezaltenango, Guatemala.  Several of the photographs record the immediate surrounding of the missionaries.  There are a fine series of group portraits of Maya leaders dressed in their finest regalia, a street scene during a local festival, and a panoramic view of Quezaltenango.
