The collection is made up of correspondence, a deposition, reminiscences, and other written materials about Louisiana. There is also correspondence to Michael Wynne, Lyle Saxon material, autographs of Louisiana and United States dignitaries, certificates, numismatic material, Loyola University material, religious material, notes and cards, photographs, prints, maps, André Olivier material, and other printed materials. There is also Diettel family material, including a journal, letters, photographs, and artifacts.

Biographical / Historical

Michael Dayries Wynne has lived in Pineville, Alexandria, Marksville, and Baton Rouge. He majored in history at Louisiana State University. He is a state probation and parole supervisor in Alexandria. His interests are autograph collecting, numismatics, and history. In 1983, the Alexandria Genealogical and Historical Library had a display of his collection of business and calling cards. A member of the Dayries family, he is a cousin of LaVerne "Pike" Thomas, whose collection contains some material from Michael Dayries Wynne.

Sullivan material, Loyola University material, religious material, notes and cards, photographs, prints, maps, André Olivier material, "La vie, le crime et les confessions d'Ernest et Alexis Blanc," Beautiful Pointe Coupée and her prominent citizens, programs and menus, other printed material, and Diettel family material. The collection consists of one box.
