Polmer family papers
Scope and Contents
The collection consists of family papers, business correspondence, financial records, photographs, Knights of Pythias materials, gift books, deeds, certificates, and maps. There are also ledgers, journals, and daybooks of the Polmer Brothers Mercantile Company as well as Masonic ledgers.

Biographical / Historical
Leon Polmer of Schriever, Louisiana, was the father of Irwin F., Mervin J., and Naptali H. Polmer. Members of the Polmer family created the Polmer Brothers Mercantile Company, a small country store in Schriever that existed in the late nineteenth century.
