This collection consists of 246, mostly 8” x 10” black and white silver gelatin prints of photographs of historic Louisiana architecture, principally in New Orleans.

Biographical / Historical
The prints were collected by Thompson and include photographers Charles Franck, Frances Benjamin Johnston, and Wood “Pops” Whitesell. Thompson was a New Orleans public relations figure who collected the photographs in connection with his work.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
Photographs were purchased by Tulane from the widow of Ray Thompson in 1973.
