Scope and Contents

This collection includes correspondence, minutes, announcements, and photographic prints collected by the society. Photographs of Pontchartrain Beach Amusement Park in New Orleans, circa 1982 to 1983, were taken before its demolition by an unidentified photographer; these are maintained within the materials. Photographers include G. Wilson Small, Jr., Ronald J. Caire, Tebbs and Knell, and Betsy Swanson.

This collection is arranged into five series: Series 1: Records of Louisiana Landmarks Society; Series 2: Betsy Swanson Photographs and Lloyd Sensat Drawings; Series 3: G. Wilson Small and Louisiana Photographs; Series 4: New Orleans Volumes; Series 5: Clem Binnings and Ronald J. Caire Photographs.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

Records and photograph collections were given by the Louisiana Landmarks Society to Tulane in 1985. Additional records are given on an irregular basis. No financial records are kept by SEAA.
