Scope and Contents
This collection of records, from New Orleans architectural office Koch and Wilson, includes project drawings, specifications, and professional correspondence (with attached photographs and contracts) regarding business, commercial, educational, medical, and residential buildings and additions. Projects were done in New Orleans, throughout Louisiana, and a few cities throughout the United States.

Biographical / Historical
Richard Koch (1889-1971) and Samuel Wilson, Jr. (1911-1993) founded the architectural office Koch and Wilson with other associates and are known primarily for restoration work on New Orleans historic buildings and Louisiana plantation homes. They also designed buildings and structures in the Modernist and International styles.

This collection is arranged into five series: Series 1: Project Drawings; Series 2: Richard Koch Correspondence; Series 3: Koch and Wilson Correspondence; Series 4: General Correspondence; Series 5: Project Specifications.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
Records were given by Koch and Wilson to Tulane starting in 1978. Additional records have been given in separate groups during the 1980s and 1990s.
