This collection consists of personal papers of Henri A. Gandolfo of New Orleans, La. Included are documents relating to the Kiwanis Club of Mid-City New Orleans and his role in it, such as photographs, certificates, newsletters and other printed items.

Biographical / Historical

Henri Antoine Gandolfo (1897-1990) was an employee of Metairie Cemetery for many years, who wrote a history of the cemetery in 1981. He was active in the Mid-City Kiwanis Club, serving as its president. The Kiwanis clubs were established for business and social networking and then branched out to include charitable community activities. Mr. Gandolfo sometimes used the first name Henry, rather than Henri.
