Scope and Contents

The collection consists of the correspondence, articles, poems, and notes of Jeanne des Dunes Guérin Bengston (1909-1992). The majority of her work found in this collection was written for the Christian Science Publishing Society and the United Methodist Publishers. Also included are a biography of Bengston, as well as newspaper clippings, notes for a play, a manuscript copy of Flowers of the Mind, and index cards.

Biographical / Historical

Jeanne des Dunes Guérin Bengston (1909-1992) was a native New Orleanian and a Newcomb College graduate (1930). She published a book of her poems, Flowers of the Mind, and wrote for the Christian Science Publishing Society.
