Scope and Contents

The collection includes photographs, photo albums, legal documents, deeds, certificates, newspaper clippings, accounts, genealogical records, correspondence (1821-1918), and other papers. There is also a journal that contains notations of readings and notes on legal terminology as well as household accounts and home remedies (1841-1847). Also included are military certificates and insurance policies.

The collection is arranged as follows: photograph albums, journal, extracts from the Moore family Bible and family records, correspondence, legal documents, account books and receipts, medical receipts, newspapers clippings, funeral notices, financial notes, a picture of Vicksburg, other items, photographs, military certificates, insurance policies, and a photograph. The collection consists of one box and one oversize folder.
