Scope and Contents Dr. Hewitt L. Ballowe was a physician and folklorist from Buras and Diamond, Louisiana. Muir Bradburn papers

Scope and Contents The collection consists primarily of handwritten and typed medical records of patients treated by Dr. Muir Bradburn while he was a staff surgeon, part of the Tulane Unit, organized by Dr. Rudolph Matas, at Base Hospital 24 in Limoges, France during World War I. Included with these written records are several x-rays. After the war, Dr. Bradburn corresponded with some of his former patients about their medical progress, and these letters, as well as replies he received, are in the collection....
