The collection consists of copies and translations of documents from Documentos Procendentes de la Isla de Cuba, the Society of the Propagation of the Faith, the Roman Catholic Church, and the Michel Pontalba Library relating to Padre Antonio de Sedella (Pere Antoine), who served as parish priest of New Orleans from 1785-1790 and 1795-1805.

Scope and Contents Leonard V. Huber (1903-1984) was a businessman, historian, civic leader, and writer. He was president of Victor Huber and Sons, Incorporated, owner and builder of Hope Mausoleum as well as Louisiana's first crematory. He was active in many local historical societies and authored several books and articles on subjects including steamboats, cemeteries, postal history, Mardi Gras, and New Orleans landmarks.
